This is a fan-made (pun intended) wind turbine from the game Rust. I tried to follow the original concept art from Howard Schechtman as close as possible to achieve the effects it has (original concept here: https://www.artstation.com/artwork/vDKPY). I modelled and UV'd the wind turbine in Maya, brought it over to Substance 3D Painter for textures, and finally to Unreal Engine 5 for rendering. It's sitting at 40K triangles for the polycount.
The first iteration used several more materials and UVs than I had hoped to achieve, but I was able to bring the final material count to 5 (instead of 8). I hand-painted roughly 90% of the entire model, and used some out-of-the-box generated patterns from Substance for the other 10%.
For the shader, I found and modified a shader from Matt Aspland that I found on YouTube (https://youtu.be/YwZH4jCO4ZM?si=gZGffb20YfXBmWxx).
